Take this to the streets?

So, today I got lost in the world of YouTube and got that little light bulb in my head. I knew Kinney was thinking about holding one but I’m curious if a zombie walk is in order. Yes, we are all probably against zombies and out to kill them but the geek, or nerd, in us all can go for taking a passion to the streets, right? I’ve had other ideas brewing but I can’t tell anyone since I’m not sure if it’s going to happen.

Zombie walk, good or bad idea? Maybe for pre-test destress day.

Hahaha, zombie jedi.

  1. Zombiehunters.org did this once to promote a blood drive that they were holding. Just imagine how quickly you could get thinking people to give blood if you marketed it as “This is what could happen to the world if you don’t give blood.”

Speaking of Kinney, his domain name expires in 5 days. I don’t have a way of getting in touch with him. Can you pass that on for me? And tell him I also said something vaguely jerky just for old time’s sake.

The problem with a zombie walk is like Bottom’s play in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. You’d have to have people everywhere saying it was just make believe, and that would ruin the overall effect.

I suppose next you’re going to suggest a mime symposium. Or maybe going to the Republican National Convention. A tour of a Peeps factory? Maybe you’d like to just beat me with this two by four for three or four hours?

  2. Alright…I may not be able to reach Kinney haven’t heard from him in a while.
Scrap this idea. Come to mention it I’d like to see the inside od a Peep factory. Probably smells pretty good but it’d probably be like a bad dream. I wonder if they have oompa loompas too. *shudders*

  3. Came across this one again while purging some old posts. There’s another real concern with a zombie walk: safety. Imagine Corpse Corps members going all apeshit around a bunch of people trying to bring awareness of the zombie problem. I’d hate to think of what would happen if Meaker were in the area. What if the crowd joined in?

It would be a death for a noble cause, and perhaps even a heroic one, but probably not one worth dying for. Perhaps a gigantic game of zombie tag might be in order, though???
